The Program obtains the information you provide when you register in the Program. Registration with us is optional. However, please keep in mind that you may not be able to use some of the features offered by the Program unless you register with us.
When you sign up for a Truthly account, some of your personal information becomes publicly available. Such information may, for example, be accessed by everyone on the Internet (including people not logged into the Program), be indexed by third party search engines, and be imported, exported, distributed, and redistributed by us and others without privacy limitations.
Information Collected Upon Registration: When you create a Truthly account, you provide some personal information, such as your name or email address. Some of this information, for example, your name, is listed publicly on the Program, including on your profile page and in search results.
Additional Information: You may provide us with other information to make public, such as your photos or feedback requests.
Requests: Our Program is primarily designed to ask for feedback from your friends and get anonymous opinions. By default, all opinions are public but we generally give you settings to make them private if you want.
Chats: Chats are always private. We don’t have such settings to make them public.
Notifications: We may use your contact information to send you information about the Program or to market to you. You may use your settings to unsubscribe from notifications from the Program. You may also unsubscribe by following the instructions contained within the notification.
Automatically Collected Information: In addition, the Program may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device or Internet browsers you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, your operating system, and information about the way you use the Program.
Integration with Facebook: If you signed up to the Program with Facebook, then the Program gets a list of your Facebook friends IDs and some other information. We use this information to identify your Facebook friends on Truthly. Truthly is not giving any private data obtained from your Facebook profile to public or third parties without your consent or without imperative that emerges from a legal enforcement.
Our primary goals in collecting information are to provide and improve our Program, services and features, to administer your account and to enable users to enjoy and easily navigate the Program.
This Program does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.
We take protecting your personal information very seriously, and we want you to feel secure with regard to the information you give us when you use the Program. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.
We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:
You can stop all collection of information by the Program easily by deleting your account from the Program. You can also request to opt-out via email, at email@example.com.
We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Program. We will immediately delete all your data once you delete your account (except your Facebook ID, that we will use to notify you about your previous registration on Truthly when you try to register again). If you’d like us to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Program, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond in a reasonable time.
We do not use the Program to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at email@example.com. We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time.
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical and electronic safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Program. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
